Lachlan Murdoch eyes Australian media company

Rupert Murdoch’s son, Lachlan, is behind a £1.45bn bid to buy Australian publishing and TV company Consolidated Media, according to Reuters.

Murdoch junior has teamed up with Australian businessman James Packer for the bid, which is his first business move since he left News Corp in 2005.
