Journalists and software developers have been invited to take part in a ‘hack day’ event being organised by the Association of Online Publishers in conjunction with the Knight-Mozilla News Technology Partnership.
The Mozilla Hack Day is intended to bring together journalists, web developers and graphic designers, and seeks to promote new web technology.
It is open to non members of the AOP, subject to availability, and the cost is £20.
It will take place at Incisive Media, Broadwick Street, London on 13 October transferring to AOP’s Digital Publishing Summit, at Westminster Bridge Park Plaza the next day for final results, judging and prizes.
The organisers said the event will focus on the new HTML5 programming language “with the development of dynamic applications and websites that work on all platforms, for all users – whichever device or operating system they choose”.
