James Murdoch named top media businessman in Britain

News Corp’s Europe and Asia boss, James Murdoch, has topped a Daily Telegraph poll of the most powerful businesspeople in British media.

Murdoch junior beats ITV executive chairman Michael Grade and DMGT boss Viscount Rothermere to the number one slot.

Tom Glocer, the chief executive of the newly-merged Thomson Reuters, is eighth; followed by Pearson chief executive Marjorie Scardino and Reed Elsevier boss Sir Crispin Davis.
