The Herald has today launched the 2008 Scottish Student Press Awards.
The overall Scottish Student Journalist of the Year will win a paid four-week placement at The Herald. There are also £250 prizes for Best News Writer, Best Features Writer,Best New Media, Best Sports Writer, Best Photographer, Best Magazine, and Best Newspaper.
The awards are open to students whose work has appeared in student publications at Scottish higher or further education establishments after 1 May 2007. The closing date for entries is 28 April.
