With Radiohead bringing out a free newspaper today to mark the physical release of their new album, a group of Guardian journalists have decided to respond by recording a cover of one of the band’s best-known tracks, Creep.
Guardian Weekend columnist Tim Dowling, who plays banjo on the track, explains the thinking behind the cover version on the Guardian’s music blog.
He writes: “If a band could wade so recklessly into the Guardian’s area of expertise, could we not wade into theirs?”
