Guardian News & Media has appointed Matt McAlister to head a new network of external web developers.
McAlister, who is currently the director of the Yahoo! Developer Network, will lead the creation and launch of the “Guardian Development Network”, which work with outside developers to create new data services using Guardian content.
Before joining Yahoo! in 2005, McAlister led the online efforts at The Industry Standardand IDG’s InfoWorld and Macworld magazines.
