By Dominic wireposts

Conde Nast has come under fire after preventing an article which is highly critical of Russian president Vladimir Putin being distributed in the country.

The article, headlined Vladimir Putin’s Dark Rise to Power, appeared in the US edition of GQ. But according to The Guardian, not only was it witheld from the Russian edition – it has also been prevented from appearing online in the country.

Russian GQ editor Nikolai Uskov said the article was not run because it did not contain any new allegations.
