The sell off of BBC Worldwide could net £2bn for the Government, according to the Daily Mail.
It emerged yesterday that the BBC’s commercial arm is among state-backed assets that the government is considering selling. Others include: the Met Office, the Tote and the Dartford Crossing.
The Mail quotes the Asset Portfolio document which says: “The government now expects the BBC to look more widely at the options for greater financial and operational separation, including a sale or partial sale.
