FT: NoW privacy action widens to include Ian Edmondson

Former assistant editor of the News of the World Ian Edmondson is set to be added as a third defendant in a privacy case brought by former assistant to Max Clifford, Nicola Phillips – the FT reports.

She is already suing News Group Newspapers and former investigator for the News of the World Glenn Mulcaire over claims her mobile phone messages were illegally intercepted.

Edmondson was dismissed by the News of the World in January.
