Former Loaded editor Scott Manson joins luxury publisher

By William Turvill

Luxury magazine publisher Aston Greenlake has appointed Scott Manson, formerly editor of Loaded magazine, as its new editor-in-chief.

Manson, who took over at British Airways title High Life after leaving Loaded, joins with a brief to launch new magazine titles in the luxury market.

His first job will be to unveil luxury living and watches magazine Tempus on 8 March.

The magazine, to be released in time for the watch and jewellery exhibition show Baselworld, will have an initial circulation of 14,000.

The role will also see Manson take charge of business traveller magazine Meze, which has a readership of 220,000 less than a year after launching.

Manson, who projected an image of Kelly Brook onto MI5 headquarters whilst editor at Loaded, has described his newly-inherited titles as an ‘editor’s dream”.

He said:

The magazine [Tempus] will be read by music and sports stars, royalty and high flying city types, and the content will be a similarly diverse and thrilling offering.

He added:

While many magazines struggle with circulation and advertising revenue, Meze and Tempus are proof that the luxury market is still strong, providing you have an excellent, engaging product to attract readers and advertisers.
