Two freelance journalists accused of entering foot and mouth restricted zones have had their case moved back to next month.
Philip Hollis, 44, from Kingston, and James Purkiss, 37, from Swindon, were to have appeared before South West Surrey Magistrates’ Court in Guildford on Friday last week, but the case was put back. They are now set to appear on September 7.
The pair were arrested and their equipment was seized on Saturday August 4, and they were later charged under Section 27 of the Animal Health Act.
They face a maximum £5,000 fine or six months’ imprisonment if found guilty.
