Ex-BBC Radio Swindon presenter seeks council seat

By Martin Stabe wirepost

Former BBC Radio Swindon presenter Peter Heaton-Jones is seeking election to Swindon Borough Council.

Heaton-Jones is to stand as a Conservative for the seat held by the town’s current Labour mayor in the 1 May election, the Swindon Advertiser reports.

“After many years working for the Swindon community challenging the council on the radio, I now want to do the same from the other side of the fence,” he told the paper.

“I know the area like the back of my hand and understand the workings of Swindon Borough Council too.”
