The Coventry Telegraph is the latest Trinity Mirror regional to launch a newspaper-branded companion website.
CoventryTelegraph.net includes a local history section using pictures from the paper’s archive as well as additional material supplied by users.
The “Coventry Memories” section of the new site includes images of the city’s landmarks and key moments in its history including the i wartime blitz and the building of its cathedral.
“There are thousands of pictures which we could never hope to publish in the paper. Our website gives us a fantastic new outlet,” editor Alan Kirby said in a statement issued today.
Trinity Mirror began the overhaul of its regional newspaper websites last June. Today the group announced the appointment of a new digital director for its regionals division.
