The hyperlocal community website Everything Epping Forest has teamed up with publisher Archant London to produce a new monthly print magazine.
Everything Epping Forest launched three years ago and now says it receives more than 200,000 hits per month. It has a sister site, Everything Harlow, which was launched in February 2010.
The sites are run by David Jackman, a former local newspaper journalist with over 21 years of experience in the industry.
Jackman said:
I’m passionate about local news and local events and a firm believer that even the smallest snippet of news is worthy of reporting, whether it is a coffee morning or a report from a local club.
To be approached by Archant London to work with them and provide the editorial for a monthly printed title to be delivered to some 10,000 households, with Archant handling the advertising, printing and distribution side of the operation, has really taken Everything Epping Forest to another level.
Tony Little, commercial director at Archant London, explained why they decided to team up with David:
His success with Everything Epping Forest, with 200,000 plus hits a month to date (235,000+ hits in January 2012), should be applauded and we are delighted to get involved with such successful community-focused initiative.
The first edition of the Everything Epping Forest magazine will be published towards the end of March and will also be available online.
