Closer ties between IHT and New York Times

By Martin Stabe wirepost

The International Herald Tribune is be “more synchronized” with the New York Times, both in print and online.

The ultimate aim of the integration project is to create “something like an organic, global, 24-hour news operation“, according to a memo to staff from New York Times editor Bill Keller published on Jim Romenesko’s media blog at the Poynter Institute.

One of the first steps will be to create a “continuous news outpost” at the IHT’s Paris newsroom, according to memo.
