Brides, the Conde Nast wedding magazine, has appointed Camilla Newman as publisher.
Newman replaces Simon Leadsford, who joins Conde Nast Traveller magazine as publishing director next month.
Currently advertisement director of Brides, Newman joined Conde Nast’s classified advertising team straight from university in 1996.
She is Conde Nast’s first publisher to have started their career in the classified department.
Conde Nast managing director Nicholas Coleridge said: “Camilla has demonstrated tremendous talent and perseverance during her time at Conde Nast Bridges, as well as displaying wonderful loyalty to the magazine.
“With such an exceptional knowledge of the bridal industry she is the perfect person to take the magazine forward.”
