German magazines publisher Burda Media has invested Glam Media, the online publisher and ad network.
Glam, a privately-held company, sells adverting on a network of its own websites, mainly aimed at women, along with about 450 partner sites.
The Glam Publisher Network reached more than 44 million users worldwide, and 25 million of them in the US in January. It has a revenue target revenue of $100 million (£50m) and investments in the company now value it at around $500 million (£250m), according to the Wall Street Journal.
In the UK, Burda owns Full House publisher Burda Magazines and Essential Publishing.
