Another interesting snippet has cropped up in Archant’s annual report, news that it has invested £515,000 over the last few years in KoS Media, the publisher of a series of free newspapers and websites across Kent including Kent on Sunday.
As Holdthefrontpage reports, regional newspaper publisher Archant has long been rumoured to have links with KoS Media but previously declined to comment on this.
What’s interesting about it is the fact that Archant has its own titles in Kent – the Gravesend Reporter, Dartford & Swanley Times, Bexley Times and Bromley Times. And the fact that Archant has been quite secret-squirrel about their interest in KoS Media so far also makes one wander what they have been up to.
The annual report asays that Archant’s share of KoS Media losses have grown from £158,000 to £196,000.
