At least 115 journalists have requested accreditation to cover Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi’s sex crime trial, which starts today.
Masses of TV crews are setting up outside the court building in Milan. It is the first time a sitting European leader has been tried for having sex with an under-aged prostitute.
Berlusconi, 74, is accused of paying for sex with a teenage belly dancer, Ruby Rubacuori, who was 17 at the time.
