Merricks Media spreads into Portugal

By Press Gazette

Merricks Media, the publisher of France, Spain and Greece magazines, is extending its portfolio by launching a magazine about Portugal.

The Bath-based publisher, which specialises in property and travel, is planning to launch Portugal on 8 January.

The 100-page title will help readers choose properties to buy and will contain features on holidays and lifestyle. It will have a cover price of £3.50 and be edited by Christina Hippisley, who ran her own publishing company in Portugal for 10 years.

Lisa Doerr, managing director of Merricks Media, said: “Portugal is the third most popular destination for Brits looking to buy a holiday home, after France and Spain, so it makes total sense for us to have a title serving this market. We are sure there is a reader need and our advertisers are backing it to the hilt.”

Doerr also hinted there were more launches in the pipeline from Merricks Media.
