Prince Harry should be awarded up to £320,000 in compensation over the alleged misuse of his private information by Mirror Group Newspapers, his lawyers have told the High Court.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, is suing the publisher for damages, claiming journalists at its titles – the Daily and Sunday Mirror and Sunday People – were linked to methods including phone hacking, so-called “blagging” or gaining information by deception, and the use of private investigators for unlawful activities.
In a court document released to the media on Friday, the final day of a trial in London, the duke’s legal team set out its suggestions for the amount of money Harry could receive if a judge rules in his favour.
