Maxim on the ball

By Press Gazette

Maxim has dedicated its September issue to football and is giving away a free DVD of top Premiership goals. The issue, out this week, devotes 20 pages to the game, with a definitive guide to the FA Premier League and Maxim’s predictions for the season.

A Decade of Great Goals looks back at the best goals from 1992 to 2002 and features interviews with players and managers and a list of the top 10 goals. Andy Semple, group publishing director for consumer titles at Dennis, said: “From a bloke’s point of view, this is an Elle sarong, Marie Claire flip flops and a Glamour hat all rolled into one. And it makes a refreshing change from the Kama Sutra Readers’ Wives promotions run by all our competitors.”

The promotion forms part of the £1m campaign which encourages men to “grow upÉ a bit” and read Maxim.
