Majority of BBC Breakfast staff don’t want to move to Salford, reports claim

By admin

Around 30 per cent of the staff working on the BBC Breakfast programme will make the move with the show when it relocates to the corporation’s new northern headquarters in Salford, according to a report today.

The Guardian said this morning that sources indicated to it that around two thirds have not indicated their willingness to move.

The Mirror said yesterday that Sian Williams would leave the show after the move along with sports presenter Chris Hollins.

Yesterday, the Telegraph reported that the BBC was in ‘chaos’ after up to 80 per cent of staff voted against making the move.
