Kearney named as new World At One presenter

By Press Gazette

Martha Kearney has been announced as the new presenter of BBC Radio 4's The World At One, replacing long-serving presenter Nick Clarke, who died in November 2006.

Kearney — currently political editor and a presenter on BBC Two's Newsnight and Newsnight Review and Woman's Hour on Radio 4 — will take up her role in April 2007.

Shaun Ley, who has been presenting The World At One since Clarke's death, has been appointed as the main presenter of The World This Weekend, and will also present The World At One every Friday.
