A pro-independence Scottish daily launched last year is introducing a new Saturday edition from tomorrow.
The National was launched by Newsquest’s Herald & Times Group last November.
After creating a special general election issue last Saturday, the National will begin publishing a permanent weekend edition on top of its weekday title.
It is the sister title of the pro-independence Sunday Herald and shares the same editor, Richard Walker.

The National tweeted yesterday: “Great response to our first Saturday edition last weekend … So we’re doing it again … Every week!”
As well as The National and Sunday Herald, the Herald & Times Group also publishes The Herald and Evening Times.
