Ethical focus for investment glossy

A bi-monthly B2B magazine has been launched by Newsquest for trustees of pension funds and charities.

Engaged Investor will focus on ethical investment and adopting new techniques for investors. The title will look at such issues as sexual discrimination in the City and what the future holds for tobacco companies.

Launch editor Bob Campion said: “After corporate failures such as Parmalat and Enron, investment managers need to get to grips with corporate governance risks, as well as the risk that failing to manage environmental and social threats can affect a stock market company.”

Despite being launched in a crowded sector, Engaged Investor claims it will be the only title speaking directly to trustees of pension funds and charities in the UK and Europe.

“There is a gap in the market for trustees,” said Campion, who is currently editor of Portfolio International . “Many titles write technical articles for the professionals in charge of administrating pensions. Trustees are not always qualified, so the magazine is more consumer-driven
