While sorting out the week’s newspaper mountain I come across one of The Guardian’s glossy and expensive Wines of the World guides, which have been running all week, nestled inside one of those hand-wringing special supplements entitled ’Alcohol and us’, which takes eight pages to suggest that we all might be drinking too much.
Splendid stuff. Mine’s a bottle of Barolo le Corda della Briccolina, preferably the 2001.
