Under the heading ‘No time to play soldiers’, The Independent’s TV critic, Tom Sutcliffe, tries very hard not to sneer at Ross Kemp, embedded with the Queen’s Light Dragoons in Afghanistan for his Sky telly programme.
Which is perhaps as well, for adorning the front page of his own newspaper is an ‘exclusive’ from reporter Kim Sengupta … embedded with the Gurkhas in Afghanistan.
