It’s good to see that the brilliant Craig Brown is still gainfully employed after his unseemly – and incredibly stupid – departure from the Daily Telegraph. For who else could have been the author of the delightful pastiche purporting to be Elizabeth Hurley’s Country Notebook in the Christmas issue of The Spectator?
Shoe-horning in jaw-droppingly blatant plugs for ‘her’ organic meat and new swimwear website, while also managing to include the gratuitous but de rigeur reference to ex-boyfriend Hugh Grant, can only have been the work of a master of satire. Well done, Craig!
