Journalist’s expulsion goes unexplained

According to Kommersant New Times magazine’s investigative journalist Natalia Morari has not yet received an explanation from the Russian authorities for being turned away at a Moscow airport on her return from Israel.

The International Federation of Journalists protested at the expulsion of Morari with a warning that “official intolerance of independent journalism is squeezing the life out of press freedom in Russia”.
