Does News UK, The Guardian or Mail Online have the right formula for journalism’s digital future?

News UK chief executive Mike Darcey said this week that the strategies of The Guardian and Mail Online were irrelevant to discussions about how to make professional journalism sustainable in a digital world.

Mail Online was not based on professional journalism, under his definition, and The Guardian was systematically loss-making – he said.
