Al-Jazeera, the Arabic news channel which employed cameraman Sami al-Hajj reports on growing concern about his mental condition as his hunger strike continues.
In Press Gazette, al-Haj’s lawyer, Clive Stafford Smith wrote that after five years in captivity and more than 230 days on hunger strike his client was obsessed with his own death. Stafford Smith also said he ‘hoped they didn’t send al-Haj home in a box‘.
A campaign has been launched to free al-Haj.
