Chalmers gets Redline special projects role

Redline, Future’s monthly car magazine, has appointed Steve Chalmers as special projects editor.

He
joins Future from Highbury House Communications for the newlycreated
position and will work with editor Dan Lewis on securing features and
content.

Chalmers also has a brief to work with publisher Mike Lamond on forthcoming projects for the company’s Entertainment Group.

Chalmers began his magazine career on Highbury’s Fast Car , working his way through the ranks from staff writer to editor.

He also worked on two launch titles for the publisher, as well as contributing to a wide range of other media outlets.

Lamond said: “Steve has done some truly unbelievable things with every motor, from a Daihatsu Charade to a Mitsubishi Evo.

“He
is a modified car obsessive and his appointment brings this unique
approach to the projects he is currently working on for us.”
