What’s on TV hits Christmas heights

By Press Gazette

What’s on TV has reported its highest sale of a Christmas double issue. The listings title sold 2,628,000 in December – an increase of 2.4 per cent on the previous year. Editor Colin Tough said it was “wonderful news”. He added: “The success over the festive period is even more impressive set against the ferocious competitive landscape which exists at present in the TV listings market.”

IPC’s other title, TV Times, recorded a news-stand sale of 1,175,000, while TV & Satellite Week sold 374,000 (including subscriptions).

BBC Radio Times sold 2,624,000, but raised its retail sales revenue by 4.3 per cent.
