The BBC’s flagship Welsh news programme, Wales Today, is giving aspiring young news journalists the chance to produce and broadcast their own news story on BBC One in Wales.
The programme launched News Academy earlier this week, a scheme which is open to pupils aged between 11 and 18 in schools and colleges in Wales.
Entrants have to propose a story that they want to share with the nation.
When all entries are received, Wales Today will pick two finalists from five regions across Wales to compete in the News Academy.
Finalists will have to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges in Cardiff and the five winners will receive a place on the News Academy, entitling them to a BBC camera for two weeks and a mentor who will help them film and edit their story.
