We don’t all aspire to Fleet Street, Piers

By Press Gazette

“When I worked on the Wimbledon News, I aspired to work on Fleet
Street, which is how it should be for everyone who works in
journalism,” says your new owner.

Why, exactly?

Does
he believe that those of us who love local newspapers, and for whom
this work represents the peak of ambition, are worthless or inadequate,
or insufficiently motivated?

Clearly, in his own terms, he’s
still a prat, who probably regards Press Gazette as a trophy to show
off to his overpaid, over-rated luvvy friends in the national media.
