Wallpaper* editor-in-chief leaves for Esquire

By Press Gazette

Jeremy Langmead, editor-in-chief of Wallpaper*, is to leave to edit Esquire.

Langmead has been Wallpaper's editor-in-chief for four years. A graduate of Central St Martin's School of Art, he has been Life & Style editor of the Evening Standard, editor of Nova magazine and, for six years, editor of the Sunday Times Style magazine. He has written for the Guardian, Sunday Times, Observer, Mail on Sunday, GQ and Elle Decoration.

Langmead replaces Simon Tiffin, who left the Natmags men's monthly earlier this year. IPC said a successor at Wallpaper* will be announced in due course.

Langmead said: "Editing Wallpaper* for four years has been an extraordinary and exhilarating experience: the team here are amazing, and the support from IPC has been staggering. Although I will be sad to leave the magazine, it is a huge comfort to know that Wallpaper* has just celebrated a hugely successful 10th anniversary year and that the next 10 years will undoubtedly be even more successful."
