Video reports on the future of journalism

Press Gazette is planning to launch a series of video webinars focusing on the way technology is changing journalism.

These monthly discussions will feature some of the UK’s leading figures in journalism and technology and will be broadcast live and then archived.

With the tag-line ‘News Ideas’, this series will seek to answer some of the burning questions around the future of journalism such as:

How can we make quality journalism commercially viable online?

Has anyone yet found a content management system which really does seamlessly integrated print and online production?

Is it possible to commercialise a free news website without selling your soul?

What’s the best approach for mobile and tablets: apps, interactive digital magazines, PDF page-turners – or all three?

Welsh newspaper renaissance (8/9/2013)

In Press Gazette's first experiment with Google Hangouts On Air, we speak to journalists at two new new local newspapers in Wales.

The Caerphilly Observer is a fortnightly free title which launched in May 2013. We speak to editor Richard Gurner.
