Trinity announces Midlands changes

Trinity Mirror has announced the names of the two editors who will take the place of the five editor posts which have been cut in its Midlands Weekly Media division.

Pam Thomas has been named as group editor for the Sutton Coldfield News, Tamworth Times, Lichfield Post and Burton Trader. Mike Lockley is to be group editor for the Cannock Chase Post, Stafford Post, Walsall Observer and the Wolverhampton AdNews.

Both are regional press veterans with extensive experience. Thomas began her career on the Dudley Herald and has previously been editor of the Birmingham Post & Mail’s Focus titles, the Solihull News and the Walsall Observer. Lockley began his career on the Cannock Advertiser in 1975 and was part of the launch team of the Birmingham Daily News.
