The Times legal editor and More4 News have won the Bar Council's Legal Reporting Awards 2005-2006.
Times legal editor Frances Gibb was presented with the print award by Lord Falconer, the Lord Chancellor, for her June 27 account of the relationship between Ministers and the judiciary following allegations of lenient sentencing, entitled "Under fire: the judges speak out about ‘soft' sentencing". I
Chairnman of the Bar Council Stephen Hockman said Gibb's piece was "outstanding".
