Sunday mag plugs gap in NI market

By Press Gazette

Sunday Life has launched a magazine in Northern Ireland called More2Life.

Sunday Life owner Independent News and Media (UK) has invested £1.2m in the launch, following research that showed 84 per cent of respondents agreed a magazine added value to a Sunday paper.

The 48-page full-colour title is edited by Stephanie Bell, former features editor of Sunday Life, and includes BBC presenter Christine Bleakley among its contributors.

It will have a lifestyle element as well as television listings, entertainment and celebrity interviews.

Sunday Life editor Martin Lindsay claimed it was the first initiative of its kind in Northern Ireland.

“More2Life is definitely the way forward,” he said. “We are confident that the comprehensive mix of lifestyle features, social news, celebrity interviews, fashion and beauty items complemented by 28 pages of Northern Ireland-specific TV and film listings is a compulsive reason to purchase “Stephanie’s aim is to produce a pacy magazine, reflecting topics of local interest, reported in a vibrant, upbeat tone.

“There is an obvious gap in the weekend market for this type of product and we are looking forward to developing and growing our local market share as a result,” he added.
