The Newspaper Society’s free online directory of local and regional newspaper titles, Reaching the Regions, has had a makeover.
The index of publishers and titles index have both been updated and the regional maps showing the 1,300 daily and weekly regional newspapers around the UK are now fully integrated with the live NS database.
Users can search the site’s web directory by paper title index, publishers’ index, national sales operation or geographically. Once a paper is selected, the user can view a comprehensive newspaper report for that title on the NS database.
The report includes contact details, advertising rates, details of the title’s sections and supplements as well as circulation and JICREG breakdowns. Reaching the Regions is available via the database and planning section of the NS website newspapersoc.org.uk /website/index.htm.
