Sky Radio News expands into Ireland

By Press Gazette

Irish national commercial radio station Today FM is now subscribing to
Sky’s radio news service.
Sky Radio News provides the station with scripts and audio for use in
its news bulletins and programmes. Today FM can also access the GRN
network of correspondents worldwide.
Sky News Radio editor Andy Ivy said: “This is ideal for Today FM, whose journalists can tap into the
extensive newsgathering resources of Sky News and its radio division.”
Today Fm’s news editor Cathy Farrell said: “This deal will further
enhance the foreign element of our news service. Having access to audio
and particularly reporters live on the scene of major stories worldwide
will help us keep our listeners up to date with all the developments
overseas as they happen.”
Sky News Radio provides scripts, audio and bulletins to two UK national
stations – talkSPORT and Virgin Radio – as well as Chrysalis Radio, GMG,
the Wireless Group, DNN and Immedia Broadcasting.
