Financial News, the weekly paper for Europe’s securities and investment banking industry, has appointed Samer Iskandar to run its Paris bureau. He is replacing Guy Paisner, who has returned to London to launch Private Equity News. Iskandar has worked at the Financial Times for six years in London, Brussels and Paris, latterly as editor responsible for Connectis, the European e-business magazine published in 60 countries by the FT with partners including Les Echos. Before joining the FT he spent several years with the French business publication, L’Agefi, where he ran a team covering a range of financial issues.
