Reporter breaks shorthand record

By Press Gazette

Trinity Mirror trainee Graham Davies has clocked up a record Teeline shorthand speed of 150 words a minute.

Davies was on the company’s 16week foundation course in Newcastle when he achieved the training centre’s fastest ever shorthand speed.

His tutor, Susan Nixon, this year marks 20 years of putting students through their paces. All 21 students on the spring course made it to the 100 words a minute mark.
