Reed Business Information’s Jayne Lewis-Orr is to combine her role
as editor- in-chief of Hairdressers Journal and Health & Beauty
Salon with that of publisher.
Her promotion comes in the wake of
publishing director Leon Clifford’s decision to relocate his family to
Worcestershire and join Meville Exhibitions and Event Services in
Birmingham as managing director.
Reed’s MD, Neil Stiles, said the promotion recognised “Jayne’s huge contribution on commercial issues”.
Hair
and Beauty Group sales directors Richard Strom and Steve James will
report into Lewis-Orr, and Mike Patey, exhibition director of Salon
International, will report to Stiles.
“I’m looking forward to getting stuck in, particularly to working with Steve and Richard,” says Lewis-Orr.
Stiles
paid tribute to Leon Clifford who joined RBI as a journalist on
Electronics Weekly over 20 years ago: “Leon’s focus, clear thinking and
intellect will be much missed.”
Robert Brighouse will take over Clifford’s publishing responsibilities.
