The Press Association’s IT director Kelvin Holland, a former Sun and Times journalist, is leaving the news agency after nearly seven years with the group.
Holland will leave PA at the end of February following the deployment of the agency’s new Jazbox editorial and publishing system, a project he has headed for the past two years.
The system, which began live operation last summer, merges PA’s news and sport editorial, page-ready, new media, audio/video and picture operations on a single platform.
Holland said: “Delivering the new editorial system is in many ways the culmination of what I set out to do here. After four years as IT director, new opportunities are beckoning and it is time to move on.”
