PA signs deal with US site

By Press Gazette

The Press Association has signed a deal to provide US-based news website topix.net with rolling UK news.

Parent company PA Group today announced the deal which will give Topix access to PA’s news, sports and business feeds.
Topix, a news ‘aggregator’website whose motto is ‘Local news for the world”, claims to be the internet’s biggest news site with over 360,000 stories.

Founded in 2002, it is designed to help users find news stories on specific topics. The site uses artificial intelligence computer programs to automatically search more than 10,000 news sources 24 hours a day.

This is one of the first major deals secured under Tony Watson in his new role as PA’s editor-in-chief.
