Former assistant editor of NME Malik Meer has been made editor of The Guardian’s weekly entertainment supplement The Guide.
Meer is a former editor of Muzik magazine who has also worked on special projects for IPC Media and freelanced for Mixmag, I-D, The Face and Arena.
Guardian Saturday editor Ian Katz said: “The Guide has long
been established as the definitive entertainment bible with tons of
attitude and the most comprehensive pop culture coverage in any weekend
newspaper. Malik is the perfect person to keep it fresh and take it to a
new level.”
Meer replaces Tim Lusher who has been made Guardian assistant features editor.
