New political correspondent at the Financial Times

By Press Gazette

Ben Hall has been appointed political correspondent at the Financial Times.

He is replacing Krishna Guha, who has won a place at Harvard as a Fulbright scholar.

Hall joined the FT in 2000, and was most recently the newspaper’s deputy comment editor. He has also been a leader writer. Before writing for the paper, Hall was the research director for the Westminster-based think tank, Centre for European Reform, which he helped set up in 1997.

Financial Times deputy managing editor Hugh Carnegy said: “Ben’s wide experience and knowledge of politics, both in Britain and internationally, will be a great asset to our parliamentary team.”
